As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Data Custodian to join our operations team.

Position Summary

The Data Custodian is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and security of operational data across our warehouse management and logistics systems. You will work closely with warehouse operations, transportation, customer service, and management teams to ensure data is entered, updated, and reported accurately to support daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect data to identify areas for improvement within our company’s IT infrastructure
  • Develop and implement a strategic blueprint to follow when deploying databases within the organization
  • Develop and maintain computer databases
  • Document reporting needs, queries, logic, results and recommendations to relevant departments
  • Enact measures to make sure unauthorized users cannot access the data
  • Liaise with staff on data requirements, collection and availability
  • Test data models and database management systems
  • Design and develop database
  • Operate database management systems to analyze data
  • Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models
  • Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rules
  • Monitor, update, and maintain warehouse and logistics data in company databases and WMS systems.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Monitor data quality and identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Support inventory audits by reconciling physical counts with system records.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve data-related issues.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline data processes.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in data administration, logistics, warehousing, or related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Experience using SQL, BI, Data analysis software, Python, etc. is considered an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is an asset.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
