Workplace information: On site

Salary: $36 hourly (to be negotiated)/ 35 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent Full time; Evening, Shift, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available

Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Experience and specialization

Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Plasma arc welding (PAW), ARC spot

Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine, Spot welding machine

Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Auto repair, Truck repair, Machinery or equipment repair

Additional information: Work conditions and physical capabilities, physically demanding, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods

Work site environment: Dusty, Noisy, Odours

Responsibilities/Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications; Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment; Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes; Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications; Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment; Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines; Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products; Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
