Business Address/Location of Work: This position and will be carried out at OPS’s warehouse located at 870 Tungsten Street, Thunder Bay, Ontario P7B 3J6.

Nature of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 37.5-40 hours per week

Salary: $59,000 – 65,000 per year (commensurate upon experience)

Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay

Job Summary: As Warehouse Distribution Supervisor at Official Parcel Service, you will oversee the daily operations of our parcel warehousing and distribution center. You will coordinate and assign tasks to warehouse staff responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, packing, and dispatching shipments. In this role, you ensure that all processes comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations — working to maintain a high standard of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. Your leadership will be essential in supporting OPS’s mission to deliver reliable, prompt, and secure parcel services across northern Ontario.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations including receiving, sorting, packing, order staging and route loading to support delivery performance targets;
• Assign and monitor work for warehouse associates, ensuring proper execution of freight plus parcel handling, and order preparation;
• Plan and coordinate staffing assignments and delivery schedules for OPS drivers in alignment with business needs and service requirements;
• Oversee receipt and inspection of incoming shipments; verify documentation and ensure items are directed to correct storage or processing areas;
• Enforce safety, security, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement in operational policies and practices;
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure safe, orderly organization of parcels, racking, and packaging materials, coordinating timely replenishment of supplies and tools;
• Ensure equipment is used and maintained according to company and safety guidelines, arranging for repairs as required;
• Resolve operational disruptions affecting workflow, safety, or customer experience by implementing corrective actions and process enhancements;
• Train employees to support productive workflows and improved accuracy;
• Monitor warehouse inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of supplies, packaging materials, and operational tools to ensure business continuity;
• Provide feedback and performance input to management to promote accountability, recognition, and team engagement; and
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Skills Requirement:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Logistics, Distributions Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred;
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain operations or logistics within a lead, supervisory, managerial or other specialized role;
• Experience in parcel handling or transportation operations is considered an asset, but not required;
• Must have ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
