Job duties: 

-Greet customers and discuss the type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase

-Advise customers on the use and care of merchandise and provide advice concerning specialized products or services

-Quote or estimate costs, credit conditions, trade-in values, warranties, and delivery schedules

-Prepare sales and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment

-Help with goods display

-Keep track of sales information for inventory management

-Manage computerized inventory tracking and reordering systems

-May carry out sales transactions using online electronic commerce
