Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 300 – 5761 Marine Way, Burnaby, BC V5J 0A6

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay
• Extended Health Benefit and Dental care after 3 months probation

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement child-care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs
• Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks
• Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning
• Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.
• Maintain daycare equipment organized and sanitized
• Help children to express the creativities and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities
• Establish guidelines for behaviour

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
