Description

Orthopedic surgeons diagnose and treat disorders related to the musculoskeletal system. Responsibilities encompass surgical procedures, non-surgical treatments, and patient consultations, with a focus on improving mobility and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgical procedures to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions
  • Provide non-surgical treatments, such as medications, physical therapy, and rehabilitation exercises
  • Analyze patient medical histories, symptoms, and test results to diagnose conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in the field of orthopaedic surgery
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment options
  • Manage and prioritize patient caseloads and scheduling to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and certification requirements

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree and Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Completion of Residency Program in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Proficiency in performing various orthopaedic surgical procedures
  • Ability to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff
  • Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination for precise surgical techniques
  • Ability to work long hours and remain focused during complex surgical procedures
  • Continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with medical advancements in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
