Salary: $20.00 – $22.00/Hourly for 30-40 hours per week

Robust Transport Services Ltd is looking for mechanic helpers to join our team and help mechanics with vehicle maintenance tasks, such as an oil change, tire rotation or equipment repair.

Job Duties:

• Move tools, equipment, and other materials to and from storage and work areas
• Perform mechanical repairs or work under supervision of a mechanic to repair or replace tires, batteries, and other accessories
• Assist mechanics with lifting and maneuvering heavy parts and components
• Disassemble simple components and clean parts for reassembly
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to established safety procedures
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing etc.
• Inspect, repair, change and rotate tires
• Check fluid levels and replace oil, water, battery, and other fluids as needed
• Request parts and tools for mechanics as needed
• Clean shop floors, stalls, driveways, tools, and equipment

Requirements:

• High school diploma may be required
• On the job training will be provided

Skills:

• Ability to diagnose minor mechanical problems and perform repairs under supervision
• Ability to operate tools and equipment involved in vehicle repair
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts
• Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
