Housekeeping Supervisor

Description

Room Cleanliness:

• Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Oversee staff on a daily basis.
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards.
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products, equipment.
• Participate in large cleaning projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.
• Clean and maintain guest rooms according to established standards and guidelines.
• Ensure that all assigned rooms are cleaned thoroughly and promptly.
• Restock amenities, linens, and supplies in each room.
• Ensure the proper use of labeled chemicals, maintain a cleaned and organized cart, and diligently prepare it before leaving for assigned duties to guarantee a seamless and efficient cleaning process.

Team work:

• Collaborate with room attendants and other hotel staff to ensure a seamless and efficient operation.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and responsibilities.
• Assist colleagues when needed to meet overall cleanliness goals.

Reporting Concerns:

• Identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, or concerns in guest rooms.
• Immediately inform supervisors or managers about any unusual situations or discrepancies.
• Follow proper reporting procedures for lost and found items.

Pay Conditions:

• Adhere to the pay conditions, ensuring that each room takes approximately 30 minutes to clean, unless otherwise approved by a manager.
• Understand and comply with the hourly rate compensation structure, with the expectation of checking 4 rooms per hour.
