Bhinder Family residing on Delta, BC is looking to hire a home support worker to provide care to their elderly parent.

Job Title: Home support worker (NOC 44101)

Job type: Full time and Permanent

Salary: $23/ Hour for 40 hours a week

Minimum Education: High School

Language: English

Positions Available: 1

Job Location: Private Home located in Delta, BC

Requirements:

·       Completion of High School

·       Minimum of 1-year full time paid work experience in similar positions

·       Completion of a 6-month full-time classroom training in a related field is an asset

·       Must have a flexible schedule and be available for early morning, day, early evening, and split shifts

Responsibilities:

·       Assist with daily routine from bed to washroom, bathing, personal care, dressing and undressing

·       Provide care and companionship to elderly

·       Aid in regular exercise e.g. walk

·       Plan and prepare nutritious meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding

·       Support in the administration of medications and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse

·       Perform some routine housekeeping duties related to elderly such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds

·       Complete other related duties as required
