Description
Household with busy parents looking for an energetic and genuinely kind-hearted caregiver to look after a 12-year-old child.
It is a full-time position, with 35-44 hours per week. Hours may include early evening and weekends.
Wages: $22 per hour
Main responsibilities include:
• Supervise and care for children at employer's residence
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties as needed
• Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home • Instruct children in personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take children to and from school and other extracurricular activities
.Take full responsibility for the child in the absence of the parents.
