Now Hiring: Head Butcher – Retail

Wage Offered: $34.50 per hour

Hours of Work: 

• Permanent, full time position of 35 to 44 hours per week, weekend hours required
• Early Morning Hours 

Requirements of the Job: 

• At least 5 years of experience as a butcher
• Able to work independently with no supervision
• Experience with a variety of meats (beef, pork, rabbit, chicken, 
• Personal suitability, accuracy, client focus, team player

Duties

• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
• Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
• Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
• Wrap and package prepared meats
• Remove bones from meat
• Weigh meats for sale
• Cut poultry into parts
• Grind meats
• Make special sausages
• Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products
• Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
• Supervise meat cutters and other staff
