Salary: $18.34 hourly / 40-50 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: Experience an asset

Experience and Specialization: Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck
Area of specialization: Poultry

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Chicken farming, Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Odours, Wet/damp, Dirty

Work setting: Rural area

Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Large workload
Personal suitability: Team player

Job Duties

• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
• Handling animals
• Monitoring animal health
• Perform livestock feeding
• Feed and tend animals
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Perform general farm duties
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
