As a Diesel Mechanic (NOC 72401), you will perform all or some of the following duties:

– Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions

– Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required

– Order parts and maintain inventory

– Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts

– Keep maintenance reports and documentation

– Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications

– Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work

– Verify and repair emission control systems

– Perform other routine maintenance

Education Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 35 hours / week), Paid Vacation

Compensation: CAD $37.50 /hour

Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty

Employment Conditions: Day, Morning, Weekend

Area of specialization: Engine repair

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast paced environment, Attention to detail, Manual Dexterity, Standing for extended periods

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
