We are looking for well experienced Cooks for “Broadstreet Properties Ltd” located at 700 Petersen Road Campbell River, BC V9W 3H7 Canada; However, you will be required to work at various locations in the region.

No. of positions – 9

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Prepare, cook, and present complete meals for staff, ensuring consistent quality, balance, and presentation suitable for a professional workplace setting.

  • Independently plan and execute daily meal preparation with minimal supervision, maintaining efficiency during scheduled service periods.

  • Prepare a variety of dishes, including hot meals, sides, salads, and lighter options, using standardized recipes and portion controls.

  • Apply judgment when adjusting menus or preparation methods to accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and special requests from staff.

  • Take responsibility for daily kitchen setup, readiness, and workflow, ensuring all ingredients and supplies are available before service.

  • Maintain high presentation standards for plated and service-line meals, elevating staff dining beyond basic cafeteria-style offerings.

  • Guide and support kitchen helpers or assistants in food preparation, safe handling, and cleanliness standards.

  • Monitor food storage, labeling, rotation, and usage to ensure freshness, minimize waste, and support cost efficiency.

  • Ensure proper use, cleaning, and upkeep of kitchen equipment, reporting maintenance or safety concerns as needed.

  • Uphold strict sanitation, hygiene, and food safety standards, contributing to a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment.


 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience.

Experience & Skills: 5 years or more in the cooking field.

Language: English

 

Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $20.40 for 30 to 40 Hours per week

 

Starting Date: As soon as possible

 

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

 

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
