Description

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor for Aramark located at 233 Logan Rd., Bridgewater, NS B4V 3T3, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • ​​Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the daily work of light duty cleaners, specialized cleaners, and janitorial staff in assigned buildings and facilities.

  • Prepare, update, and adjust daily and weekly work schedules, staff assignments, and task rotations to meet operational, client, and service-level requirements.

  • Conduct regular inspections of client sites, washrooms, offices, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are consistently met in accordance with Aramark and client expectations.

  • Enforce and promote safe work practices, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, WHMIS, and Aramark policies, including proper use of PPE, chemicals, equipment, and signage.

  • Train, coach, and mentor cleaning staff on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, safe work methods, infection control practices, and quality standards; provide ongoing performance feedback and on-the-job support.

  • Respond to client requests, service issues, and complaints regarding custodial services; take corrective actions and follow up to ensure client satisfaction and service recovery.

  • Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance and repair needs (e.g., plumbing, lighting, fixtures, building damage) by initiating work orders and coordinating with maintenance or facilities teams.

  • Monitor inventory and usage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; maintain accurate stock levels and ensure safe storage.

  • Oversee proper waste collection, recycling, and disposal processes in compliance with site and environmental regulations.

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance support for new and existing cleaning staff.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to cleaning processes, staff performance, and overall service delivery.

 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 2 years to 3 years of experience in managerial position or equivalent.
Language: English.

 

Hourly Rate: $21.54 to $23.00  per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week.

 

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
