Wage: $18.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and caring full-time child caregiver to work in our private home. The successful candidate will provide attentive care and support to our children in a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Provide daily supervision and care for children in the employer’s home

– Support parents’ guidance in daily routines, including toilet training

– Take full responsibility for the household when parents are away

– Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy home environment

– Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate activities such as games and outings

– Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

– Assist children with homework and learning activities

– Teach and encourage good personal hygiene, manners, and social development

– Guide children’s behavior according to parental instructions

– Support the emotional well-being of the children

– Maintain daily records of children’s activities and health information

– Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care

– Wash, iron, and organize clothing and household linens

– Shop for groceries and household necessities as required

– Accompany the family on trips and assist with child supervision and household duties

– Take children to and from school, appointments, and activities

– Assist with cooking as required

Work Setting:

Employer’s private residence

Education Requirement:

Completion of secondary school (Grade 12 or equivalent)

Skills and Abilities:

– Patient, responsible, and attentive

– Able to work independently

– Strong organizational and time-management skills

– Genuine interest in child care and child development
