Chef De Partie (Antipasti)

 

We are looking for experienced Chef De Parties (Antipasti) for “Oretta King West” located at King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1M7, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of Italian antipasti, appetizers, and related menu items in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, portion control, and presentation guidelines.

  • Assist the Head Chef and kitchen management in organizing and executing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient service and high guest satisfaction.

  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff assigned to the antipasti station, providing guidance, training, and direction to maintain consistency and culinary standards.

  • Contribute to menu development and refinement of antipasti offerings, including cold and hot starters, seasonal dishes, and daily specials, in line with the restaurant’s Italian cuisine focus.

  • Modify antipasti dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special guest requests while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

  • Oversee daily setup and breakdown of the antipasti station, ensuring all ingredients, garnishes, and accompaniments are properly prepared, stocked, and organized for service.

  • Monitor inventory levels for antipasti ingredients, place requisitions as required, and ensure proper storage and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste.

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of kitchen equipment and workstations used for antipasti preparation, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations and internal policies.

  • Foster effective communication and teamwork within the kitchen to support smooth service and consistent food quality.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by kitchen management.

 

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent. 

Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food industry or equivalent experience.

Language:English

 

Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
