Boas Construction Ltd. is located at #2145 – 950 Seaborne Ave., Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 0R9. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Carpenter. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Carpenter
Wages: CAD$28.85/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30hrs~40 hrs/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and requirements
• Lay out details in compliance with building codes
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape, smooth, assemble and join wood and other materials according to measurements
• Measure frames, fit and install cabinets, closets, doors, baseboards, and floor, etc.
• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures of residential and commercial properties
• Supervise apprentices and other staff
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over 4 years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry.
