Caregiver – Seniors

Description

One (1) full-time position, Friday – Sunday, 10 hours each day for 30/hours a week.  Duties include administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, laundering clothing and household linens, light housekeeping and cleaning.  Prepares and services nutritious meals.  Engages the recipient of care in light exercise like walking.  Provides personal care and companionship.  Parking is available.

Required Language

Education Level:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience of 3 years to less than 5 years.

Required Skills

Physical reqirements of the positiion include bending, crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, walking and handling heavy loads.  Requires standing for extended periods. Must have the ability to handle between 61 and 80 kgs (133-176 lbs). Non-smoking and scent sensitive working environment.

Additional skills/ Assets

The successful candidate must exhibit punctuality, a client focus, dependability, good interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organizateional skills, reliability and patience.  Criminal and Vulnerability records check required.  Updated immunization record required.
