Job requirements

 

·       Experience in construction management involving high-rise concrete formwork construction projects;

·       Knowledge of concrete formwork systems, including PERI, DOKA, ALUMA or comparable systems;

·       Experience using construction management and project control software, including Procore, Jonas, and Smartsheet.

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.

Job Duties:

·       Analyze and evaluate the Company’s managerial methods, operational processes, and procedures related to high-rise concrete formwork construction projects and provide recommendations to management regarding improvements to operational efficiency and cost control;

 

·       Conduct research and analysis to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company’s construction management policies, procedures, and operational practices, including the utilization of labour, equipment, formwork systems, rentals, and other project resources;

 

·       Conduct assessments of the Company’s construction management and project control methods, systems, and procedures and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency, resource utilization, cost control, and overall project performance;

 

·       Analyze project operational and financial data using construction management and project control software, including Procore, Jonas, and Smartsheet, to identify trends, inefficiencies, cost variances, and areas requiring improvement;

 

·       Prepare, review and analyze Schedules of Values for high-rise concrete formwork construction projects, including detailed allocations of project tasks, materials, labour, equipment, and project phases, to assess project performance and effectiveness of the Company’s operational and cost-control procedures;

 

·       Review and analyze invoices, bills, contracts, equipment and formwork rentals, equipment utilization, manpower utilization, and other project costs and compare actual expenditures and resource utilization against approved project budgets and operational plans;

 

·       Investigate significant discrepancies and cost overruns by reviewing project records, operational practices, resource utilization, and other relevant information to identify their underlying causes. Communicate findings to the site management team.

 

·       Develop and present recommendations to management for corrective measures where operational inefficiencies, cost overruns, resource allocation issues, or other deficiencies are identified;

 

·       Develop and recommend improvements to the Company’s management policies, operational procedures, cost-control processes, resource management practices, and internal reporting systems based on the results of operational and cost analyses;

 

·       Assist management in planning and implementing improvements and changes to the Company’s operations, managerial methods, systems, and procedures and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
