Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Outdoors, Dusty, Noisy, Odours, Wet/damp, Dairy, Livestock, All weather conditions, Dirty

Area of specialization: Dairy cattle

Work setting: Rural area, Public transportation is not available

Job Duties

·         Milk cows

·         Detect disease and health problems in livestock, Diagnose livestock health issues, Monitoring animal health, Treat livestock health issues

·         Handling animals

·         Monitor the calving process

·         Formulate feeding program, Perform livestock feeding, Feed and tend animals

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Milking system (automated), Tractor, Farm truck, Loader, Manure spreader, Skidsteer, Forklift, Hand tools

·         Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

·         Maintain livestock performance records, Maintain work records and logs

·         Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens

.          Perform general farm duties
