Working Hours: 30~40 hrs per week

Work Shift: It can be daytime, evening, weekends and/or holidays

Wage: $22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Located in Vancouver’s historic Yaletown neighbourhood, The Parlour is a place of convergence for East Coast edge and West Coast hospitality. We pair innovative cocktails, craft-brewed beers and quality wines with an inventive menu featuring handcrafted pizzas and an elegant twist on authentic comfort cuisine. To maintain our service standard, we are currently hiring a full time Cook to join our team!

 

Main duties

• Oversee the daily food service in all areas of kitchen and dining room
• Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on daily basis
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
• Communicate any special orders for private events
• Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of food service workers
• Plan menus and determine related food and labour costs
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Train new employees on all FOH protocol and expectation
• Communicate any change in menu items to FOH and any special orders for private events
• Ensure all takeout platforms are updated and working
• Other duties as assigned

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Flexible availability for weekends & holidays
• Completion of education in food preparation/customer service or 2-3 years of related experience is required
