Allwood Carpentry Manufacturing is now hiring skilled CABINETMAKERS to join our busy team.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a cabinetmaker
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Attention to detail, manual dexterity
• Steel-toed safety shoes
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Duties:

• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components
• Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
• Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit (cabinets, built-ins, furniture and millwork) and reinforce joints
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
• Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Supervise other workers
• Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, Full Time, Day with overtime. Some weekend work required.

Wages:

$36.00 per hour for full-time hours between 32 and 44 hours per week
