Description
Uncle’s Meat Factory is located at 7492 Conway Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5E 2P8. We are currently looking for full time Butchers-retail or wholesale. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail or mail.
Position: Butcher-retail or wholesale
Wage: CAD$24.23/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent (various shifts, including morning, evening, weekends, and holidays)
Working Hours: 30- 40 hours/week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Cut, trim, bone meats to prepare standard cuts;
• Prepare meat for special displays and orders;
• Wrap and package prepared meats;
• Keep sales records and monitor supply to maintain inventory;
• Ensure meats are clean and stored in safe conditions;
• Follow safety standards and maintain workplace in sanitary conditions;
• Supervise and train meat cutters.
Job requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a college or other butchery training program, or 2-3 years of on-the-job training required
• Skills demonstrations may be required
