Home Child Care Provider

Description

Household with busy parents looking for an energetic, genuinely caring and kind-hearted caregiver to help look after a 12-year-old child.

It is a full-time position of indeterminate duration, with an average of 37.5 hours per week.

Hours include afternoons and evenings.

Job Duties:

-Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

-Supervise and care for children-Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home Privacy

-Organize, activities such as games and outings for children

-Take children to and from school and to appointments and extracurriulum activities

-Prepare and serve nutritious meals

-Tend to emotional well-being of children

-Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

-Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

-Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

-May perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

-May shop for food and household supplies

Requirements: High School or equivalent

-Minimum 1-7 month relevant experience working with children

-Responsible, reliable and attentive

-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record-Police record (vulnerable sector check)

Note: Optional accomodation at the employer’s home is provided at no charge (live-in arrangement is optional, not a condition of employment)
