Our company is currently looking for reliable, active, detail and team-oriented Concrete Finishers Apprentice to join our team and help us meet our customers’ needs.

Position: Concrete Finisher Apprentice

Number of positions available: 1

Work Hours:  30 hours per week

Wage: $34.00/hour

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Work Location: Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada (various construction job sites)

Language of work: English

Vacation time: As per law

Additional benefits: Sick leave, as per law

Key duties and responsibilities

• Learn to check formwork for proper construction and steel reinforcement.
• Help prepare work sites and ensure proper grading of surfaces.
• Help spread and level freshly poured concrete using tools like rakes, shovels, and screeds.
• Apply desired finishes to concrete surfaces, which can range from smooth to textured.
• Learn to operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, such as trowels, floats, and vibrators.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and formal apprenticeship programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Gain practical experience by working on various concrete projects, learning the different techniques and challenges involved.
• Develop the ability to identify and respond to factors that affect concrete setting, such as temperature and weather conditions.

Job requirements:

• Completion of secondary school.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Ability to handle heavy load.
• Ability to bend, crouch and kneel.
• Ability to be standing for long periods.
• Attention to detail.
