Our company is currently looking for reliable, active, detail and team-oriented Concrete Finishers Apprentice to join our team and help us meet our customers’ needs.
Position: Concrete Finisher Apprentice
Number of positions available: 1
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Wage: $34.00/hour
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Work Location: Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada (various construction job sites)
Language of work: English
Vacation time: As per law

Key duties and responsibilities
- Learn to check formwork for proper construction and steel reinforcement.
- Help prepare work sites and ensure proper grading of surfaces.
- Help spread and level freshly poured concrete using tools like rakes, shovels, and screeds.
- Apply desired finishes to concrete surfaces, which can range from smooth to textured.
- Learn to operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, such as trowels, floats, and vibrators.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and formal apprenticeship programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Gain practical experience by working on various concrete projects, learning the different techniques and challenges involved.
- Develop the ability to identify and respond to factors that affect concrete setting, such as temperature and weather conditions.
Job requirements:
- Completion of secondary school.
- On the job training will be provided.
- Ability to handle heavy load.
- Ability to bend, crouch and kneel.
- Ability to be standing for long periods.
- Attention to detail.
