Live – in Caregiver – Seniors

Description

Job Description  One full-time position, Friday-Sunday, 10 hours each day for a total of 30 hrs/week. Duties include administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, laundering and household linens, light housekeeping and cleaning. Preparing and serving nutritious meals. Engaging the recipient of care in light exercise like short distance-walking. Provides care and companionship. Parking is available.

Required languages: 

English

Education level:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience of 3 years to less than 5 years.

Required skills:

Physical requirements of the position include bending, crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, walking and handling heavy loads. The position requires standing for extended periods. Must have the ability to handle between 61 and 80 kgs (133-176 lbs.).

Additional skills / Assets 

Criminal record , Vulnerable sector and updated immunization records all required. The successful candidate must exhibit punctuality, a client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, reliability, patience, honesty. Urban working environment parking available.
