NOW HIRING: WELDER-FITTERS 

Terms of employment
Permanent employment/Full time (between 32 and 44 hours per week)
Daytime hours with some overtime, Monday to Friday

Requirements of the job


- trade certificate or diploma OR at least 3 years of experience as a welder (stainless steel)
– Ability to work independently with limited supervision
– Experience with custom stainless steel fabrication is a must
– Own tools and equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Mask, Face shield, Welding helmet
– Able to handle loads of up to 50 lbs.

Duties of the job

– Interpret welding process specifications
– Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
– Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
– Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
– Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
– Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
– Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
– Determine weldability of materials
– Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
