Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $30.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 200 Burrard Street Unit R020, Vancouver, BC V6C 3L6

Benefits:

Job Duties:

• Plan, organize, and oversee food preparation and cooking activities in the restaurant
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty Japanese dishes, including sushi and other menu items
• Estimate food and labor requirements, monitor costs, and maintain budgetary controls
• Develop and plan menus, ensuring consistency with quality, presentation, and food safety standards
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
• Arrange for the purchase of ingredients, supplies, and oversee the repair or replacement of kitchen equipment
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of kitchen staff

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Language: English
