Nurse Aides

Hylan Home is looking to hire 7 Nurse Aides at their nursing home located at 32223 Hylan Ave. Abbotsford, BC V2T 1S8.

The Nurse Aides will perform the following duties:

Answer calls from patients, supply empty bed pans, bathe, and dress patients, change and make beds, serve meals, ensure patients eat or assist with feeding if needed, supervise patients during their exercise routines, provide companionship, ensure patients are comfortable, clean and fed, record food intake.

Observe and monitor patients’ status and document patients’ care, take blood pressure, temperature and pulse, record fluid intake, and collect specimens, as instructed by nursing and hospital staff.

May administer first Aid to injured or ill patients within the scope of competencies.

Maintain inventory of supplies.

The Nurse Aides will possess the following skills and qualifications:

·       Completion of a nursing Aide program for a minimum of 3 months.

·       Ability to communicate effectively in English.

·       Ability to workday and night shifts including weekends and holidays.

·       We will provide training to the right candidates.

We are offering $25.00/hour for 35 hrs/week.
