Skill Requirements:
– Education: No formal education required
– Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required
– Languages: Written and Oral English
 
Duties:
-Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, property surveys, and work order specifications to
determine fence and deck layout, elevations, measurements, and installation procedures.
– Measure, mark, and establish layout lines for fence posts, deck footings, beams, joists, and
railing systems in accordance with project specifications and property boundaries.
– Dig post holes and deck footings using manual or powered equipment and set posts in concrete
to ensure proper depth, alignment, and structural stability.
– Install, repair, and service various types of fencing, including wood, chain-link, vinyl/PVC,
ornamental metal, and composite fencing using hand and power tools.
– Construct and install decks using wood, composite, or other decking materials, including
framing, decking boards, stairs, railings, and skirting.
– Cut, shape, and assemble materials according to design specifications and manufacturer
guidelines.
– Install and adjust gates, deck railings, stairs, balusters, and related hardware to ensure proper
function, safety, and structural integrity.
– Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, safety standards, and project
requirements.
– Inspect completed fence and deck installations to verify alignment, stability, and overall quality
of workmanship.
– Repair or replace damaged fence panels, posts, deck boards, framing components, or hardware
as required.
– Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
– Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and follow workplace health and
safety procedures.
