Description
Bob’s Trucking Ltd. is looking for full-time and permanent 10 Long Haul Truck Driver at Abbotsford, BC, V4X 0A3. (Even though this is a full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is $37.00/hr and 40-50 hours/week.
Job Description:
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Employment Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is usually required.
- On-the-job training is provided.
- A Class 1 license is required to drive articulated trucks.
- Air brake endorsement (Z) is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with air brakes.
