Job Title: Head Chef

Wage: $39.00 per hour

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Employment Type: Full-Time/ Permanent (willing to work at night and weekend)

Benefit(s): 4% vacation pay or 10 days’ paid vacation

Job vacancies: 1 Full-Time job

 

Job duties you will be responsible for:

  • Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Prepare and oversee noodle dishes, soups, broths, sauces, and other menu items.
  • Develop new dishes and menu items while maintaining the restaurant’s style and quality standards.
  • Plan menus and daily specials based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain consistency in flavour, texture, portion size, and presentation.
  • Organize kitchen workflow and supervise food preparation during busy service periods.
  • Train, supervise, and assign duties to kitchen staff.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, control food costs, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, kitchen cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor food quality and respond to customer feedback regarding food and preparation.
  • Interact with customers, handle feedback, and resolve complaints.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oriental/Asian cuisine as a Chef
  • English
