Job Duties and responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to work areas.
- Set up and take down concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials like concrete and asphalt.
- Help carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers, and glaziers with their construction tasks.
- Assist heavy equipment operators by securing attachments and signaling during equipment movement.
- Align pipes and support activities during oil and gas pipeline construction.
- Assist in drilling and blasting rocks at construction sites.
- Aid in demolishing buildings using tools and organize salvaged materials.
- Remove rubble and debris using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
- Clean up chemical spills and remove hazardous materials like asbestos.
- Direct traffic around construction sites.
- Perform other duties as directed on construction sites.
