(Food Services Manager)
We are looking for a Food Services Manager for Georgian Bay Family Restaurant located at 401 Hume St, Collingwood, ON L9Y 1W7, Canada Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the daily operations of the restaurant and kitchen, ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Participate in menu planning in collaboration with the owner and senior kitchen staff, contributing innovative ideas and seasonal dishes aligned with the restaurant’s theme and customer preferences.

Supervise food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency, portion control, and high standards of taste, quality, and safety.

Monitor inventory levels and food cost controls by managing procurement, supplier relationships, and proper storage of raw materials and kitchen supplies.

Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of kitchen and dining room staff to maintain service excellence and staff morale.

Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with provincial health and safety regulations.

Resolve customer complaints and operational issues with a focus on service recovery and continuous improvement.

Develop and implement operational procedures, cost-control measures, and staff training initiatives to optimize efficiency and profitability.

Prepare budgets, monitor revenues, and report on financial performance to ownership, recommending improvements where needed.

Stay up to date with culinary trends and local competition to ensure a competitive edge in menu offerings and guest experience.

Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and promptly coordinate repairs or maintenance.

May perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by the management.
Prerequisites:
Education:Secondary School Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the food industry.
Annual Salary: $53,200 to $57,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
