Job Title: Construction Helper (Training position)

Employment Type: Temporary / Internship (4-8 weeks) Internship with possibility of hiring

Work Schedule: Full-time with option for part-time or flexible hours based on project requirements and candidate availability

Wage: $20.00 per hour

Job Description

Ecliptic Builders Ltd. is hiring a Construction Worker to assist with framing, drywall installation, plastering, and painting work on residential renovation and basement projects. This position is suitable for candidates seeking hands-on, on-the-job training in construction trades. Training will be provided to support skill development and long-term employment growth.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist senior workers with basic framing, drywall installation, plastering, and painting tasks under direct supervision

  • Learn proper use of hand and power tools related to construction and finishing work

  • Assist in measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for framing and drywall installation

  • Support drywall installation by holding panels, preparing surfaces, and assisting with taping and sanding

  • Assist with surface preparation for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and priming

  • Help apply paint using rollers and brushes under supervision

  • Learn basic plastering and finishing techniques

  • Assist in site clean-up, material handling, and waste disposal

  • Follow workplace health and safety rules, including use of personal protective equipment

Training Provided

  • On-the-job training will be provided for framing, drywall installation, plastering, and painting

  • Training includes proper use of tools, materials, and safety practices

  • No prior experience is required
