Description
We are looking for a well-experienced food service manager to work at Sula Indian Restaurant Davie Street located at 1708 Davie St, Vancouver, BC V6G 2K7, Canada. However, you may be required to work at various locations in the region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct and oversee full-scale restaurant and bar operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance management to ensure the business operates efficiently and profitably.

Develop and execute business strategies to increase revenue and market competitiveness, aligning with Sula’s brand as a premium Indian dining and cocktail destination in downtown Vancouver.

Collaborate with the chef and mixologist to conceptualize, test, and implement new menu items and Indian-inspired craft cocktails, integrating regional spices, botanicals, and innovative flavor pairings.

Lead and manage food and beverage costs, and implement pricing strategies that support profitability.

Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of service staff, bartenders setting performance benchmarks, conducting evaluations, and providing continuous leadership training.

Develop and enforce operational policies and SOPs for high-volume fine dining and bar service, ensuring consistent execution aligned with corporate quality standards.

Oversee supplier negotiations and procurement of premium ingredients, imported spirits, and specialty Indian products while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Monitor and analyze market trends in Indian cuisine, mixology, and hospitality to adapt offerings, enhance customer engagement, and maintain a competitive edge.

Lead marketing collaborations for new product launches, special events, and cultural promotions (e.g., Diwali dinners, Holi cocktail events) to strengthen brand visibility and drive traffic.

Ensure superior guest experience by addressing service issues, maintaining high aesthetic and hygiene standards, and fostering a welcoming and authentic Indian dining atmosphere.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year or 2 years
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in food & beverage industry.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36.60 to 38.00 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
