Location: 140 Hartley Ave. PO Box 1456, Fort Macleod, AB T0L 0Z0

Salary: $30.00 to hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Overtime required

Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Hay farming, primary agricultural position.

Supervision: 3-4 people
Area of specialization: Agricultural crop service

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail

Personal suitability: Organized, Team player

Job Duties

·         Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development

·         Assist in the development and implementation of farm and bio-security procedures

·         Provide agricultural crop service such as plowing, irrigation, cultivating, spraying or harvesting

·         Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers

·         Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

·         Maintain quality control and production records

·         Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operation

·         Maintain work records and logs

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Haying equipment

·         Perform general farm duties

.         Supervise and oversee growing and harvesting operations to ensure hay quality.
