KPB Gills Four Seasons Nursery Ltd is looking for full-time and permanent 2 Farm Supervisors at Abbotsford, BC, V4X 2M3. (Even though this is a full-time position we encourage part time job seekers to apply as well). Salary is $20.00/hr and 30-40 hours/week.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement plans to set priorities and meet work objectives.
- Organize and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of farm operations.
- Supervise field clearing activities and monitor hoeing processes.
- Instruct farm workers on proper seed cutting techniques.
- Keep accurate financial, production, and quality control records.
- Negotiate service contracts and maintain client relations.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of farm workers and harvest laborers.
- Manage and supervise crop production and related farming activities.
- Maintain detailed logs and work records.
- Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain farming machinery and equipment.
- Carry out general farm maintenance and duties as required.
Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
