- Location: 33115 Range Road 10 A, Olds, AB T4H 1G6 (Various locations)
- Salary: $23.16 hourly / 40-50 hours per week (overtime is required)
- Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend
- Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: At least one year
- Experience operating agricultural equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25–50 kg
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 required; Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Plant, cultivate, irrigate, fertilize, and spray forage crops
- Cut and condition hay using swather or mower-conditioner
- Rake and merge windrows and operate large square or round balers
- Monitor bale weight, density, and moisture levels during baling
- Stack, stage, load, and transport hay bales from field to storage or processing facility
- Operate forage harvester (silage combine) and adjust chop length as required
- Haul chopped silage from field to pit or bunker
- Pack and compact silage to ensure proper fermentation and storage
- Cover and maintain silage pits according to best management practices
- Load silage and forage materials for transport to dehydration plant
- Load forage products into bulk trucks or containers
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment including tractors, swathers, balers, forage harvesters, loaders, telehandlers, forklifts, seed drills, farm trucks, and haying equipment
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Monitor equipment for wear and mechanical issues
- Maintain field activity, maintenance, and load records
- Ensure compliance with farm safety, bio-security, and environmental procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of yard, storage areas, and plant facilities
- Perform general farm duties as assigned
