CFT is a recognized leader in North American logistics. Its services are custom designed to manage international shipping for its clients most active in exporting commodities.
We are currently looking for self-motivated Full-time Export Freight Forwarding and Logistics specialists to join our team who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. You are expected to take initiative, be a self-starter and maintain a strong attention to detail with respect to all work being performed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operations within the organization.
- Perform routine clerical duties, including maintaining work records, logs, and general office tasks.
- Resolve work-related problems promptly and efficiently.
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to facilitate accurate processing.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of Cargo Wise operating system, Excel, Word, and Adobe Reader.
- Ensure compliance with US and Canada Government export filing and reporting regulations.
- Manage all agricultural and international shipping documents for containerized exports, particularly specializing in specialty grains.
- Coordinate and monitor the logistics of supplies, and materials movement within the organization, if applicable.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum College diploma related to Transportation, Customs or Logistics is required.
- Experience in documentation, export and customs sectors is an assest
- Excellent communication skills
- Abilities to work in fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player but also be able to work independently
- Computer knowledge is desirable
- Knowledge in Cargo Wise operating system
- Knowledge in US & Canada government export filing and reporting
- Knowledge in agricultural and international shipping documents for contanerized exports of specialty grains.
