Strongsteps Children's Learning Centre in Langley, BC, is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent Early Childhood Educator.

 

Conditions

  • Position: Early Childhood Educator (NOC 42202)
  • Full-time, Permanent Position, 35-40 hours per week
  • Hourly Wage: $27.50 per hour
  • Vacation: 4% of vacation fee
  • Benefit: Extended medical, dental, life insurance (After 90 probationary period)
  • Number of Positions: 1

   Requirements

  • Previous work experience in child care is an asset
  • Education: A college diploma in early childhood education is required
  • Credentials: First Aid Certificate, ECE (Early Childhood Educator) Certificate
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Language: English

 

Job Duties

  • Plan, implement, and supervise creative, age-appropriate activities that promote the growth and development of young children
  • Complete daily classroom set-up and clean-up
  • Provide strong, active, and direct supervision at all times
  • Observe, assess, and respond to the individual needs and goals of each child
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, and centre staff in alignment with the centre’s philosophy
  • Work in conjunction with the Manager and/or Senior Educator to ensure children’s needs are met
  • Follow directions while making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records and use data to inform decision-making
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and staff
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for children and families
  • Respect, value, and nurture the diverse strengths and differences of all learners
