Salary: $19.44 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, Evening, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: at least 1 year experience with milking, trimming and artificial insemination (AI) of cows

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Dusty, Noisy, Odours, Dairy, Dirty

Area of specialization: Dairy cattle

Work setting: Rural area, Public transportation is not available

Job Duties

·         Milk cows

·         Monitoring animal health, Diagnose livestock health issues, Treat livestock health issues

·         Handling and trimming animals

·         Perform livestock feeding, Feed and tend animals

·         Carry out a pasture or pen breeding program – AI of cows

·         Clean barns, barnyards and pens

·         Maintain livestock performance records, Maintain quality control and production records

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Milking system (automated), Tractor, Farm truck, Loader

·         Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

.        Perform general farm duties
