We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Nando's White Rock. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. If you have experience in the restaurant industry and enjoy working with food, please send us your resume.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook chicken and other full plate meals in the menu
· Weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients according to recipes and customer preferences
· Grill, boil, bake, or fry meats, fries, and other ingredients
· Keep detailed and accurate records of inventory, food wastage, supplies, and equipment to support management in the proper and efficient ordering of materials
· Ensure the quality of food being prepared is aligned with business standards
· Ensure kitchen staff follow proper food safety sanitation requirements to maintain a clean work area
Employment Requirements:
· Completion of secondary school
· 1-2 years cooking experience or completion of college or other program in cooking
Your Skills:
· Be capable of taking direction well
· Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
