 Solocrete General Contracting Ltd. is hiring CONCRETE FINISHERS to join our team. 

This is a seasonal position available immediately to November 2021 with new season from March to November 2022. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces by using stamp forms to create desired finish on stamped concrete, or with a broom by brushing along the top of poured concrete
• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Read and interpret blueprints

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
• Stamped concrete experience is an asset
• Own steel-toed boots
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal PPE is required: hard hat, steel-toed boots and safety glasses
• WHMIS but training provided

Job Type: Full-time, at least 40 hours per week

Salary: $37.50 to $42.50 per hour
