We are looking for a well-experienced Chef De Partie – Italian Cuisine for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Lead and manage an assigned Italian kitchen station, ensuring consistent execution of pasta, sauces, proteins, and accompaniments for large-scale events.

  • Prepare and cook complete Italian dishes using classical techniques, maintaining flavour balance, texture, and presentation at banquet volume.

  • Oversee production of core Italian components such as fresh or dried pasta cookery, tomato and cream-based sauces, stocks, and emulsions.

  • Plan daily mise en place and production requirements based on event menus, guest counts, and service timelines.

  • Supervise and direct cooks and kitchen assistants assigned to the station, ensuring disciplined workflow and quality control.

  • Enforce standardized recipes, portion sizes, and plating guidelines to maintain consistency across multiple events and service periods.

  • Coordinate closely with sous chefs and banquet leads to synchronize station output with overall event service flow.

  • Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service, tasting and adjusting seasoning or execution as required.

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards within the station at all times.

  • Support high-pressure, back-to-back event execution by maintaining pace, accuracy, and composure under volume demands.


 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent

Experience & Skills: 3 years to 5 years experience preferably in the Food industry

Language: English


 

Hourly Wage: $36 to $38 for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
