JOB DESCRIPTION
- Perform work as assigned on work order with efficiency, safety and accuracy in accordance with dealership, factory and regulatory standards
- Ability to diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repairs in a timely manner
- Perform road tests
- Perform scheduled maintenance services
- Providing written, prioritized quotations for necessary additional work
- Notify the service advisor and customer of additional maintenance work as required
- Perform daily bay inspections
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operation, maintenance and repair of all makes and models
- Follow health & safety program and observe provincial occupational health& safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately
SKILLS
- Mechanical background/knowledge
- Valid driver’s license
- Provide Clean Drivers Abstract upon request
- Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program
- Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience and industry courses in automotive technology required
- Trade certification for automotive service technicians
