Salary: $33.00 hourly / 35-50 hours per week (depending on the season)

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Evening, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Oilseed (except soybean) farming, Wheat farming, Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Outdoors, Grain, oil and forage crop

Area of specialization: Agricultural crop service

Work setting: Rural area

Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Large workload

Personal suitability: Organized, Team player

Job Duties

·         Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers

·         Organize tasks to accomplish the work

·         Hire and train staff

·         Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations

·         Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures; Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Fertilizer applicator, Harvesters, Seed drill, Sprayer or duster, Tractor

·         Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting

·         Maintain quality control and production records; Maintain work records and logs

.         Perform general farm duties
