Job Overview

Papa John’s Burnside Rd W is looking for an experienced and reliable Full-Time Pizza Cook to join our team.

We are looking for someone with previous pizza, restaurant, kitchen experience who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking, and comfortable preparing pizzas while maintaining Papa John’s quality and food-safety standards.

Job Location: 306 Burnside Rd W, Victoria, BC V8Z 1M1

Responsibilities:

• Prepare pizzas according to Papa John’s recipes and standards
• Prepare dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients
• Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food-safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with food preparation, dishes, and general kitchen cleaning
• Help with takeout orders and customer service when required
• Work effectively with other team members during busy periods
• Complete opening, closing, and other assigned duties as required
• Looking after kitchen operations and managing the stock of ingredients.
• To coordinate with the operation manager(s) on new ideas and suggestions for menu.

Qualifications: 

• Post-secondary education or years of relevant experience in culinary is an asset.
• Secondary School Completion is a must.
• 1-2 years of experience in cooking and pizza preparation is a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extended periods of standing.
• Strong reference is a must.
• No previous suspension for sanitary failure.
• Ability to work on weekends and flexible shift hours.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
