Mushroom Farm Worker

Description

NorthSpore Biosystems is a newly established mushroom farming operation in Stouffville, Ontario. The company is developing its commercial mushroom production activities and requires reliable farm workers to support day-to-day crop production, harvesting, packaging, general operations.

Duties and Responsiblities include:

Pick, sort, load and clean mushrooms

Mix organic substrate and plant spores

Monitor water lines, air flow and temperature as instructed to maintain optimal growing conditions

Examine mushrooms for quality, and readiness for the market

Detect and report any disease or possible issues of concern

Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and produce

Clean work area and may help with the general maintenance of thefarm if needed.

Requirements:

Strong work ethics, realiable, able to work independently or as a team member

Physical stamina, attention to details, ability to work efficiently.

Experience an asset.
